Software development company FAQ: answers before you brief us

This software development company FAQ answers what founders and product leads ask before briefing Netofficials: scope, cost drivers, engagement models, code ownership and communication. Our India-based team starts every project from a written discovery scope. Search a topic or pick a category, then book a discovery call. No contract is needed first.

Answers to the questions buyers ask before they brief us

What kinds of software work does Netofficials take on?

Netofficials builds custom software, web and mobile applications, AI integrations, cloud infrastructure and digital marketing solutions, supported by design and QA. Most projects combine two or three of these, such as a mobile app with a cloud backend and an AI feature. Describe the product you have in mind and we will tell you which skills it needs and where the scope should start.

Can you improve or extend software we already have?

Yes. We start by reviewing your existing system's workflows, technical constraints and code quality, so changes build on what works instead of adding to a fragile base. The findings go into a written discovery scope that sets out what to fix, extend or replace. If a rebuild would serve you better than patching, we will recommend that after scoping.

Can you work alongside our in-house engineers?

Yes. Staff augmentation adds Netofficials engineers to your team for a specific skill or capacity gap, and a dedicated India-based development team can work next to your engineers on a longer roadmap. Who owns which part of the work, and which of your tools and processes we follow, is agreed before work begins.

How do we start a project with Netofficials?

Send a short brief covering the business problem, your users, the systems involved and any known constraints, then book a discovery call. No contract or commitment is required before that call, and we sign a mutual NDA before you share sensitive details. The call leads to a written discovery scope you can review before any build begins.

How will we see progress, and who is accountable?

You see working progress at a client-facing review at the end of every sprint, so decisions are made on what has been built. A named delivery lead owns day-to-day progress and your communication with us. A technical architect is accountable for system design, technology selection and code quality standards.

What happens once the software is released?

At release, Netofficials hands over the documentation and deployment access your team needs to run the product. Because IP assignment is confirmed in the contract before the build starts, you know who owns the code from the first sprint. Support and ongoing improvement are not assumed. We agree who handles them, and in what form, when we set the engagement scope, so you can plan for life after launch.

What drives the cost of a software project?

Cost is driven by scope, complexity, integrations, team capacity and which delivery responsibilities you want us to carry. We do not quote from a generic project type. On a fixed-price project, the statement of work sets out scope, acceptance criteria, milestone schedule and total cost before development begins. Anything outside that scope goes through a change-request process. To get a quote, book a discovery call. It carries no contract or commitment.

Which engagement model fits our project?

Netofficials offers three models: fixed-price project delivery, a dedicated India-based development team and staff augmentation. Fixed-price delivery fits a clearly defined outcome. A dedicated team fits a roadmap that will keep evolving. Staff augmentation fits when you need extra capacity or a specific skill inside your own team. If scoping shows another model would serve you better, we will say so.

How long will my project take to deliver?

The timeline depends on the release scope, your dependencies and how quickly review decisions are made. We do not promise a fixed duration for a type of project. Each project begins with a written discovery scope and then runs through design, development, QA and deployment in Agile sprints. We agree the schedule with you during planning, once we know what the first release must include.

Where is Netofficials based, and where does the work happen?

Netofficials is an India-based software development company, and we deliver your project from India through structured Agile sprints. A named delivery lead owns day-to-day progress and client communication. A technical architect is accountable for system design, technology selection and code quality standards.

Who founded Netofficials?

Killol Desai founded Netofficials in 2011. Today the company builds custom software, web and mobile applications, AI integrations, cloud infrastructure and digital marketing solutions from India.

How do we contact Netofficials to discuss a project?

Email hello@netofficials.net or send a brief through the contact page, covering the business problem, the users, the systems involved and any constraints you already know. No contract or commitment is needed before the discovery call, and we sign a mutual NDA before you share sensitive project details. If you only know the bottleneck or the roadmap, send that and we will help shape the rest.

Get your project scoped in writing

Send us the business problem, your users and the systems involved, and we will set up a discovery call with no contract or commitment required. We can sign a mutual NDA first if the details are sensitive, and the call turns your brief into a written discovery scope. Write to hello@netofficials.net or use the contact brief to start.
