Docker containerisation

Docker containerisation services for repeatable releases

Our Docker containerisation services package your applications so they behave the same on a developer laptop, in staging and in production. For technical leads and product owners, Netofficials uses one cross-functional team under a named delivery lead. Send a short brief and we will scope the work in writing.

Team
One cross-functional team covers back-end, QA and DevOps, so your container work isn't split across vendors.
Lead
A named delivery lead owns day-to-day progress and client communication, while a technical architect is accountable for system design and code quality.
Ownership
Contract-confirmed IP assignment means the Dockerfiles, Compose files and deployment configuration we write for you are yours before the build begins.
Reviews
A client-facing review closes every sprint, and release ends with documentation and deployment access handed to your team.
What we deliver

Containers your team can build, ship and repeat

Containerised applications

We package your web apps, APIs and background workers into Docker images with pinned dependencies and documented configuration. The same build then runs in development, staging and production, so you stop debugging problems that only appear on one machine.

Repeatable deployment pipelines

Docker builds are wired into a CI/CD pipeline that tests, builds and deploys your images the same way every time. Our cross-functional team covers back-end, QA and DevOps, so your release steps are automated, reviewed and written down rather than held in one engineer's head.

Kubernetes and cloud readiness

Docker alone often covers a single service or a small estate. When you need orchestration, we connect the work to Kubernetes, Terraform and AWS, Azure or Google Cloud. If containers would add little for your application, we will recommend a simpler setup after scoping.

Choose with context

Do your applications need containers?

Decision factorDocker suits best whenWe recommend another approach when
Environment consistencyYour application behaves differently across laptops, staging and production, and you want one packaged image that runs the same way in each.Your application is a single small service with stable hosting and few deployment problems, in which case Netofficials will recommend a simpler setup after scoping.
Deployment processReleases are manual or depend on one person's knowledge, and you want repeatable builds your own team can run and hand on.Your current deployment pipeline already works reliably and your team has no wish to change it, so we would suggest improving that pipeline instead.
Scale and orchestrationApplications or services that must behave the same in development, staging and production, from a monolith moving onto Docker to several services that later need Kubernetes.Your application is a single, simple deployment that containers would barely improve; Netofficials will recommend the simpler setup after scoping.
How a Docker engagement runs

From discovery scope to repeatable deployments

  1. Discovery

We map your applications, current environments, deployment steps and dependencies, then write down what to containerise first and what stays as it is.

    You receive
    • Written discovery scope
    • Container fit assessment
    • Estimate and assumptions

You sign off the written scope before any build work begins

  2. Design

Our technical architect proposes image structure, environment configuration, secrets handling and the registry and pipeline approach, and you review it before we change anything.

    You receive
    • Service and image map
    • Environment and configuration plan
    • Build and deployment architecture notes

You approve the container architecture before we build

  3. Build

We write Dockerfiles and Docker Compose set-ups, then connect build and deploy pipelines in Agile sprints, with a client-facing review at the end of each sprint.

    You receive
    • Containerised staging builds
    • Sprint review of working container builds
    • Test results from images run in staging

You review working containers at every sprint milestone

  4. QA

Our QA engineers run the containerised application through your agreed acceptance criteria, including clean builds, environment parity and rollback steps, before release.

    You receive
    • Acceptance checklist for container behaviour
    • QA report on build and deploy runs
    • Issue log with fix status

You test the containerised application in staging and sign it off against the acceptance criteria agreed up front.

  5. Release

Netofficials deploys the container images to production, then hands over documentation and deployment access.

    You receive
    • Production deployment with container images
    • Dockerfile and run documentation
    • Deployment access handover

You can rebuild and redeploy without us

Delivery & QA

Containers tested before they ship

  • Container builds checked in your staging environment before each sprint review
  • Critical user journeys tested against images identical to those released
  • Dockerfiles, deployment steps and access documented for your team at release
Engagement models

Pick the engagement that fits your container roadmap

Project delivery

Fixed-price project delivery suits a contained job, such as containerising one application or building its Docker-based deployment path, with a defined end and handover.

  • A written scope listing which services get containerised, the target environments and the acceptance criteria
  • A review at the end of every sprint, where you see working images and a repeatable deployment running
  • Extra services or environments added mid-project are priced through a change request, so the agreed scope stays clear

Dedicated team

A dedicated India-based team suits you if containerisation is ongoing work across several services, environments or a monolith you are breaking up over time.

  • Engineers matched to your stack, covering the back-end, DevOps and QA skills your container work needs
  • A named delivery lead who owns day-to-day progress on your containerisation backlog and is your single point of contact
  • Dockerfiles, Compose files and deployment configuration assigned to you, with IP assignment confirmed in the contract before the build begins

Staff augmentation

Staff augmentation suits you if your engineers already own the platform and need a Docker, DevOps or back-end specialist to join them.

  • DevOps or back-end engineers who containerise services or fix existing Dockerfiles and Compose setups
  • Work done in your repositories, CI pipeline and container registry, under your own review rules
  • Communication window, meeting schedule and update cadence agreed with you before work begins
Before you enquire

Docker questions, answered before you enquire

Do we need Docker, or Kubernetes too?

Docker alone is often enough when you run a handful of services on one host or a managed container service; Kubernetes earns its place when you need to orchestrate many services across several nodes. Netofficials works with both Docker and Kubernetes, and we settle the question in the written discovery scope. If containers would add little for your application, we will recommend a simpler setup after scoping.

How do you set cost and timing for containerisation?

Cost and timing follow the number of services to package, how much of your build and deployment is manual today, your target hosting and the amount of CI/CD and testing work involved. We turn those inputs into a written discovery scope with agreed assumptions, an estimate and review milestones before delivery begins. You can then choose fixed-price project delivery, a dedicated team or staff augmentation.

Who owns the Dockerfiles and deployment code, and how do we stay in the loop?

You own them. IP assignment is confirmed in the contract before the build begins, so Dockerfiles, compose files and pipeline configuration are yours. We agree the communication window, meeting schedule and update cadence with you before work starts, and you review progress at the end of every sprint. A named delivery lead handles day-to-day contact. At release we hand over documentation and deployment access so your team can repeat the deployments without us.

Get your Docker containerisation scoped in writing

Send us the application, how you deploy it today and where environments drift. We come back with a written discovery scope covering what to containerise, whether Docker alone is enough or Kubernetes is worth adding, and a plan you can approve before any build begins. If containers would add little for your setup, we will recommend a simpler route. You deal with one named point of contact throughout, and IP assignment is confirmed in the contract before work starts.
